About Us

Studio ANIMAUZ is Alma Weber, Lina Walde, and Mona Keil. We are three women in three different cities, united by our love of animation, a distinctive visual language and a fondness for quirky and unconventional scenarios.

Lina Walde

Lina Walde - Animation Director - Producer - Illustrator.
She is known for her award-winning works “WÜSTENTIER” (Desert Animal) and “ANYU - oder wie Stálin seine Nase verlor” (ANYU - or How Stalin Lost His Nose). Animauz brought her to an enchanted village near Dresden, where she has been living and working since 2025. Her focus is on digital animation and After Effects. She is also an academic assistant for animated film, where she researches on new technological possibilities for animation in virtual space. Another focus is on formats for a young target audience, as well as artistic animated short films. Her current project is Flexi.

Mona Keil

Mona Keil takes care of everything related to stop motion. She directs, animates, builds puppets and miniature sets. With great attention to detail and a fondness for moody, dark atmospheres, she creates worlds that are both fascinating and unsettling. She enjoys experimenting with a wide range of materials and is an expert in silicone and mold making. From time to time, she also explores the field of practical effects. Her studio is based in the Kontor80 cooperative in the eastern part of Leipzig.

Alma Weber

Alma Weber creates animated films, illustrations, and music. In her work, she enjoys experimenting with various (film) techniques and likes to combine her music with minimalist drawings. She loves bringing quirky characters to life and giving them soul with sensitivity and a scribbly line. At studio Animauz, she focuses on the conception and implementation of short formats, both in own productions and as commissioned works (e.g., explanatory films). She lives and works in Dresden.
